Did President Obama really feel the spirit of Jesus Christ while in Israel?

At a prayer breakfast last week, President Obama told a room full of Christian leaders that being in Israel over the Easter holiday was special. Why? Because he said he ‘felt the spirit of Jesus Christ’.

(Of course, he means Allah, right? I kid.)

According to the Washington Post…

Obama told Christian leaders attending a breakfast in the White House
East Room on Friday that the feeling brought him closer to Christ.

He
said it was a reminder that while time on Earth is fleeting, Jesus
Christ is eternal. He said it also was a reminder that the life and
lessons of Jesus Christ live on through everyday actions, such as
comforting others.

Obama asked the audience to pray that “we’re
worthy of his many blessings” and that the country also is worthy of
Christ’s blessings.

President Obama’s “feeling the presence of Jesus Christ” was the topic of conversation on my radio show this past Sunday. You can listen to the podcast versions of the two-hour episode here.

First hour.

Second hour.

It’s an interesting conversation, mostly because I disagreed with just about 90% of the people who called in. Surprise, right? Of course, since Open Table Live is likely the most liberal or progressive or open minded talk show on WTN (and interestingly enough, it’s the only one that is predominantly about faith, belief, God, etc), we get a lot of calls from the station’s regular listeners. Most of them seem pretty conservative. Some of them are more conservative than others. But several people question Obama’s Christianity for various reasons. One caller offered us 10 reasons why President Obama was not a Christian, a list that he introduced by saying, “The bible says look at a man’s fruit…” And then he proceeded to give us 10 reasons President Obama’s fruit sucked.

The conversation is interesting, to say the least. What do you think? Did President Obama hang with the spirit of Jesus Christ while in Israel?

(SIDE NOTE: If you’d rather listen to Stan and I discuss a more progressive biblical understanding of “atonement”… that conversation is here. It’s pretty amazing in a geeky theological sort of way.)

Viagra is for the treatment of inability to get or keep an erection and similar states when erection is of low quality. When you buy remedies like cialis from canada you should know about cialis online canada. It may have a lot of brands, but only one ATC Code. Erectile dysfunction, defined as the persistent impossibility to maintain a satisfactory erection, affects an estimated 15 to 30 millions men in the America alone. Sexual heartiness is an substantial part of a man’s life, no question his age etc.
