Been there, done that. Silly? Sure. Is it pivotal for some? It was to me. At 19, it was absolutely mind-blowing to have an emotional/spiritual encounter with God for the first time in my life. There’s a sincerity in it, but so crucial to keep growing and not stay stuck there like some kind of spiritual lotus eater.

I think he encountered too much of the glory. And, I’ve always been suspicious of these "trips to Mexico". This just feeds my suspicion.
I liked him better when he had the beard.
