a brand new christian music video!!

By May 26, 2009Blog

Yay! Three cheers for Christian music videos!! And one more for Christian music video production!

Yes.

As you might suspect, I love Christian music videos. And this one is brand new THIS year.

Yes, it looks older. But it’s not! Promise. It’s brand spankin’ new.

My favorite is the tambourine lady. She is AWESOME! Watch her face.

And make sure you look for Satan! Yes, the Devil make an appearance.

So does Jesus! But he doesn’t look so good. I’m pretty sure he’d been drinking.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE PART OF THIS MUSIC VIDEO?!

Viagra is for the treatment of inability to get or keep an erection and similar states when hard-on is of low quality. When you buy remedies like cialis from canada you should know about cialis online canada. It may have a lot of brands, but only one ATC Code. Erectile disfunction, defined as the persistent impossibility to maintain a satisfactory erection, affects an estimated 15 to 30 millions men in the America alone. Sexual health is an substantial part of a man’s life, no matter his age etc.

i had to stop half way through. i am rushing to the truck stop because i think that is where Jesus Christ is coming.

  • Russ says:

Oh. Wow. I think that Satan and Jesus are played by the same person. Probably to save money to pay for the special effects.

  • JonWesley says:

Awesome! The laser duel might be the best part, other than the fact that no one, NO ONE was playing anything like what the song sounded like; except maybe the tambourine girl. There is an untapped talent there.

  • Pastor Dave says:

Steely Dan meets bad Christian videos. I also noted that Jesus and Satan are played by the same character. Have to mull over that theology some. Good stuff.

  • Nathan says:

That video was AWESOME!!! The tambourine lady was by far the best. She was only missing one thing….the streamers.

My favorite part…. hmmm, this is gonna be tough.
Maybe it would be easier to just list some disturbing questions this video raised in me, such as:

*Other than the obvious budgetary concerns, why do you suppose the Devil and Jesus were played by the same guy? Think about it. *ominous music*

*Is there a scriptural reference to validate the imagery surrounding the aformentioned Devil capturing the blue-light-special-hoodoo-vibe that lame guitar solo was producing in his satanic little hands? (My guess? Two words: NEW AGE, ya’ll! OK, three words.)

*Why do Satan’s horn appear to be super-glued on his head instead of sprouting out naturally like, say, his tail?

*WTH is that blonde chick doing there at all????! (And is it just me, or does that look like a digitally aged version of EXACTLY the role I sometimes played during Russ Taff’s encore song circa Medals Tour?)

  • Chris Miller says:

I always thought that anything with an electric guitar was the devil’s music. Apparently i was wrong. Apparently if you play it right your guitar will shoot lasers at him and defeat him. Who knew?

  • john dobbs says:

    Cleavage.

    That’s all I got.

  • countrycuban says:

    Ahahahahahah!

I love how none of the instruments match what is being played. The only thing that is sync with the video is the trucker dude singing!

And the part where the trucker dude is dueling with the Devil, via his laser blaster guitar… EPIC. I need to find out where that guitar is, in case the Devil comes near me.

Don’t forget Indiana Jones playing drums in the back!

  • Angela says:

I too think the same guy played both Jesus and the Devil…and I loved how they went with the “classic” red horned devil look. Perfect choice for the black and white mazed background that is sometimes replaced for clouds and a clip art cross. 🙂

  • tmamone says:

My favorite part is the little laser coming out of the guitar.

  • the holly says:

    i’m scared.

  • Chuck Harris says:

    so…
i think the most excellent thing might be the singer/songwriter’s most excellent mullet, but i could be wrong. i too liked the “lazer” guitar solo. almost as cool as “lazer’s” on the head of trained sharks. the fact that his friends pitched in amazes me. i would probably have said, “nah, that’s ok”. it inspires me to try and make videos like this on purpose though.

  • Mangler76 says:

I think the band’s obvious musical prowess / stage presence HAS to be the highlight of this work of art…

  • Jessica says:

The Devil looks like Darth Maul…

  • AngMomof3 says:

I love that tamborine girl isn’t even playing her instrument in rhythm with the song…

  • My ears and eyes are bleeding…the pain!

  • that was perfection…
BUT did anyone else think tambourine lady’s skirt was just a tad too short??!

  • kerri says:

    i feel confused.

  • machoo says:

I bet after they shot the video, they went down to Buffalo Wild Wings and played on a Deer Hunter arcade. Afterwards, they went back home to drink a round of Odoul’s and watch Patrick Swaze in RoadHouse.

  • Gene says:

Christians will never make an impact on the world as long as we keep spreading cheese like that.

I couldn’t watch the whole thing. It was awful!

  • Gene says:

PS – Thus the phrase, “Jesus Needs New PR!”

  • Anonymous says:

Where can I get a guitar with a laser hand-washing device? And I was warmed to see Satan was surprised and sad when he dropped the Bible… Not only does Jesus need new PR, but Christians need new metaphors. And bigger budgets.

  • ian says:

my favorite part was the very beginning where they dude is like “morally sound…” but he said it like he was sexing up a lady in a bar

  • Raser says:

Favorite part: At 1:45. The stick spin by Tommy Lee.

Second favorite part: When the guy playing Satan knocks the Bible out of the Blackmon’s hands – he is clearly upset. Not something Satan would be if he knocked the Bible out of someone’s hands… Not a method actor is he.
