here’s my public service announcement: when our oldest was about 2, he was in the car seat in the back seat and had a plastic easter egg. half of the egg got wedged into his mouth – sort of sticking down his throat. all we heard – and thank gd we did hear – was this weird almost-gaspy sound. it was hard to get the egg out, too, because there was no easy way to grip it.
16 years ago and it seems like yesterday.
