bam! boom! pow! (it’s beginning to sound a lot like christmas)

By November 12, 2008Blog

Oh goody! Now that the election is over, we Christians can turn our hearts and minds toward more important things… you know, like fighting the war on Christmas!

Fa la la la la la

And guess what? The “other” side has taken it’s first shot, yep, and it’s an oozy. Read what those humanists are up to this time.

My God the atheists are now running ads! On buses! In Washington DC. What will we do?

Quick, somebody guard our nation’s supply of tinsel and evergreen, and don’t forget to protect all the little statues of baby Jesus. These people are out for blood. Jesus’ blood.

We should be scared. Really scared. Of the unknown! We don’t know what those buses are capable of doing. What if they make regular people like you and me turn into humanists? What if the drivers of these buses get taken over by Satan and begin running over people? What if there are bombs inside?

I seriously think Christians should boycott DC for the entire Holi–I mean, CHRISTmas Season.

That will show them the reason for the season!

…..

“Then the angel said to them, ‘Stop being afraid! Listen! I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people.'” from the Gospel of Luke.

Viagra is for the treatment of inability to get or keep an erection and similar states when erection is of low quality. When you buy remedies like cialis from canada you should know about cialis online canada. It may have a lot of brands, but only one ATC Code. Erectile malfunction, defined as the persistent impossibility to maintain a satisfactory erection, affects an estimated 15 to 30 millions men in the America alone. Sexual soundness is an substantial part of a man’s life, no question his age etc.

The British Humanist Association has started running ads on London buses: ‘There’s probably no God. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life’…

I love the quote by the guy:

“It’s a stupid ad,” he said. “How do we define ‘good’ if we don’t believe in God? God in his word, the Bible, tells us what’s good and bad and right and wrong. If we are each ourselves defining what’s good, it’s going to be a crazy world.”

As if that will sound smart to someone who doesn’t read the bible or believe it. Good job dude.

    hysterical… right..

the only thing that does twist my twig on this is – how many parents are going to have to have a very indepth conversation at likely a very inconvenient time to make sure that their children don’t absorb this nonsense while out and about and minding their own business.. that’s just annoying…

I ended up having to try to figure out how to explain abortion to a 10yo a few weeks ago – a 10yo I would much rather not know anything about the entire subject of s-e-x yet.. thank you very much world of advertising…

of course, “they” must truly believe 40K is going to convince the world there is no Jesus, there was no divine birth, otherwise, you know, fools and their money, right??? Geesh, they will be after santa, frosty and rudolph next! I can feel it in my bones… wait.. nope, nope.. it’s supposed to rain tomorrow..

An interesting read about the possibility of “being good for goodness sake” is tackled in an online debate sponsored by the magazine Christianity Today entitled “Is Christianity Good for the World.” The debate is between atheist Christopher Hitchens and a pastor from Idaho Douglas Wilson and ran in the May 2007 issue. Mr. Wilson uses Hitchens’ own words to show that humanist/atheistic thinking cannot stand up to a logical scrutiny.

Mr Hitchens and Mr. Wilson recently continued the debate over three days in New York City (The Kings College), Washington DC (not sure of venue) and Philadelphia (Westminster Theological Seminary.)

A web search will bring up several links to information on what took place. It is very interesting to read.

    Kimberley,

What is wrong with in-depth conversations? And it’s inconvenient to discuss important, worldview encompassing ideologies with your children? Also, if Christianity is so fail-safe, and Christians are so right where exactly is the threat that kids will “absorb nonsense”?

Solid ideologies shouldn’t have to be protected from debate.
