    very interesting; parts were clever (loved the bumper stickers). although every analogy breaks down, what smacks me in the face is that the local body isn’t selling anything (hopefully) and the gospel is not a beverage to be consumed.

    I remember my first time at Starbucks. I was so overwhelmed by the options my head was spinning with questions. What is the proper protocol? What do I say without looking stupid? What if I make a mistake and I everyone knows I’m new at this?

    Sure enough I mispronounced something and the barista gave me a weird look and I felt so embarrassed. I never did go back to that starbucks.

    Oh wait, we’re talking about church.

  • @Anonymous: Well, since you can’t spell the word “buy” and used the wrong form of the word “you’re,” reading a book might not be in your best interest.

    I have been to churches that felt as commercialized(sp?)as a Starbucks.Seems like a lot of these churches are trying to sell them selves and not proclaim the truth.We were made to worship!
