So what you are saying is that two dreams can come true in the same month…

    crazy book sales on Amazon
    and meeting Sedaris.

    Not too shabby, Matthew…

  • Terroni says:

    That is awesome, mpt!

Did you give him a copy, or are you going to make it pay for it?

  • @Sara: Yes, it’s been a good month! 🙂

    @Terroni: Um, I gave him a copy. 🙂

  • Ron says:

very cool! going to see him this tuesday night – yay!

  • very cool! I know he will enjoy your book!

  • The last time we saw him we purchased his CD box set and he signed it, “Dear PJ and Mandy, Thank you for making me rich.” He’s very funny and on this day I mention he was particularly nasty…some of the snooty blue hairs in the crowd were squirming. Still funny, though. Actually, that made it all the more enjoyable if you know what I mean. He will love your book.

  • How coolis that? Did you feel like a giddy kid at Christmas? My husband and I went to a taping of NPR’s Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me, and he had his picture taken with Carl Castle and just was beside himself…way cool! What a month!

The location of “I look forward to reading your book” is extremely amusing to me. I read it this way ” To Matthew: When You Are Engulfed in Flames (and only then) I look forward to reading your book.” I’m hoping that was intentional and not me being overly tired. Congrats on meeting him. I want to meet his sister Amy.

  • Don’t wait until you are engulfed in flames to give him a copy, okay?

(Surely he didn’t mean his autograph to read that way ….)

  • ~Alicia~ says:

I look forward to reading your book too Matthew, but it’s proving to be a bit hard to come by here in Australia.

I googled “Churched” and it came up on booktopia (which I’ve never heard of) and then I went on to Koorong (Australia’s version of Lifeway??) where they have Churched listed but availability is cited as “Not Yet Printed”. 🙁

On a good note, it also says you have 50+ copies on order, and I’m guessing you haven’t done much Aussie press so that’s pretty decent! 😀
