ALERT!: DOBSON CAN TELL IF YOU ARE CHRISTIAN

By March 28, 2007Blog

According to the original ‘family guy’ James Dobson, the former senator from Tennessee and actor on NBC’s “Law and Order” Fred Thompson is NOT a Christian.

Somebody sound the alarm. According to Dobson, there’s ANOTHER non-Christian running for president. My gosh, what will we do?

Dobson says of Thompson’s rumored bid for the White House: “I don’t think he’s a Christian; at least that’s my impression.”

And we all know that it’s Dobson’s impressions that truly count.

Thompson’s spokesperson, in reply to Dobson’s comment, had this to say: “Thompson is indeed a Christian; he was baptized into the Church of Christ.”

BUT WAIT! There’s more…

Focus on the Family’s spokesperson Gary Schneeberger didn’t refute Dobson’s claim in a follow-up interview. When he heard about Thompson’s church membership, he said: “We use that word “Christian” to refer to people who are evangelical Christians.

DID YOU CATCH THAT?

Well, I guess that settles it. If you happen to be Methodist, Catholic, Prebyterian, or a part of any other mainline denomination, looks like you are not going to get the thumbs from Dobson when it comes to being truly fit for eternal glory–at least, according to Dobson and his friend.

Pitty.

It’s hard to believe that there are people who still listen to that man. Oh well, another day, another stupid comment from an evangelical leader.

For what it’s worth though, I want all of my non-evangelical peeps to know: I love you and you most definitely have THUMBS UP from me.

Oh wait. I almost forgot; my impression doesn’t matter, either. What was I thinking?

Viagra is for the treatment of inability to get or keep an hard-on and similar states when erection is of low quality. When you buy remedies like cialis from canada you should know about cialis online canada. It may have a lot of brands, but only one ATC Code. Erectile dysfunction, defined as the persistent impossibility to maintain a satisfactory hard-on, affects an estimated 15 to 30 millions men in the America alone. Sexual health is an substantial part of a man’s life, no problem his age etc.

    Funny…I love the speech bubbles.

Do you think Dobson might opt out of heaven if wine is served there or, God forbid, if he is asked to share his mansion with a “liberal”?

I think we are all in for some surprises when we cross the threshold of those pearly gates! 🙂

  • I agree that Dobson crossed a line there with that comment on Thompson’s relationship with God, however I don’t think writing the guy off is a good idea either, making comments like “it’s hard to believe people still listen to that man” are in as poor taste as his. I try to look to the heart of a person. Just a thought.
    Jason.

  • I agree that Dobson should not have made such a foolish, politically motivated, and very unchristian comment. However, making such comments as “It’s hard to believe that there are people who still listen to that man”, is also foolish. The guy has done and still does do much good. Making blanket statements like yours suggests to some that all he has said and done is null and void. I try to look to the heart of a person as best as I can. Just a thought.

You didn’t know you had such a motley crew of readers, did you mpt? 😉

Published authors have quite the influence!! (Of course, I’m sure your wife will do her best to keep the fame from going to your head!)

BTW, how’s that blog view competition shaping up? I don’t scrapbook, but my mom does and was visiting last week. We enjoyed exploring Jessica’s site. We both thought she demonstrates great creative ability and flexibility in presentation. (Now, to be fair, should I post a positive comment about you on her site?)

  • Jessica says thank you! I am really proud of her scrapbooking; she spends a lot of time on it. Makes her happy.

  • well, Jason, we can just agree to disagree on this one. i think we just have different opinions on what we believe is “good.”
