Oops, I left a comment on Jessica’s page saying, “Must feel so good to be home!” I must have mis-read her blog post earlier!!! Oh well!!! I have the “I’m a sleep-deprived mom of two” excuse that I’m sure she’ll understand!

    Again, wonderful video!

Did you seriously refer to a penis as “Pretty”?????

  • Yes, I did, Anonymous. Well, actually, I was quoting my wife. What? Is yours ugly?

  • Nen says:

lol… i don’t even know you… but i enjoyed your videos… CONGRATS! and umm… you might want to steer clear of saddam hussein… lol

Bless you all! Love reading your blog and Jessica’s too. Found you from ‘Bring the Rain’. Praying for all 3 of you. Elias, what a blessing from God. Take care and try to rest. Jen from Cali.

Elias will thank you later for allowing your wife to make that decision for him! Take it from someone whose mom didn’t care. I had mine done in high school! (Love your posts…keep ’em comin’!)

Thank you for the updates. You are so funny! I loved the video of Angie and you at the hospital. It was soo great to see her laughing so much! Congratulations! Elias is beautiful! God bless you all!

Congratulations on the sweet little baby!!! You two are in for the best time of your lives!!!

Well, I don’t have one…but my husband’s is very pretty!!!!

  • @Lissette: Thank you Lissette. Yeah, seriously, Angie is one of the funniest people I know. She’s a gift to be around… thank you for your kind blessing on our son!

@Anonymous: You had it done in high school? Ouch. Wow, that would not be fun.

@Nen: I tried to take a picture of “Saddam” with my iPhone, but I couldn’t get close to me. And then he said “hi” to me, and so I chickened out. 🙂

  • sorry. I couldn’t get CLOSE ENOUGH… a little typo there. lol

you crack me up .. glad Elias will be pretty! 🙂 I hope you got to go home shortly after the video .. seems like a long stay for a vag. delivery?! Jessica will be soooo glad to be in her own bed tonight, for sure!!! 🙂

  • Pretty…you crack me up too! And I thought the same thing about having it done in HS. Way ouch, from what I have been told. Anyway, I hope your first night at home is smooth. Restful would be a dream, but your own bed will be wonderful.
Rest when you can, Jess especially and absolutely take up any and all offers of help, especially cooked meals. If the visitors (uninvited visitors) become too numerous, start hanging a bathrobe behind the front door and make sure to grab it and don it while at the smae time putting on a bedraggled face. It is sure to shoo people away quickly, which of course, is the objective with the univited guests. Accept all offers of laundry doing, meals, foot rubs and flowers.
Writing? Forget it, it won’t ever be the same! Of course, you will have lots more material, but the interruptions may prevent you from writing a complete coherent sentence for some time… but it is not to be missed, and is to be cherished.
I just got a book contract, and I am running away to Roatan, HN to write for a week in August when my girls go to a camp their dad runs for kids with skin diseases (he is a pediatric dermatologist). So grab the opportunities, just anticipate they will look different now, dad.

Thanks SO MUCH for allowing us to be a part of your experience and family.
    Peace, Kathy

I honestly think you should write a book about your & Jessica’s whole birth experience. I sit here and laugh at your little video segments…this one & the one with Angie were especially funny. If only the hospital knew that Sadaam Hussein was a patient… 🙂 Congratulations again! ..and hopefully you had an easy transition to the house today.

  • Congratulations on being a father. I found your blog from Brandi and Boys. I’ve been reading excerpts of your book, Surviving the Christian Culture…I will definitely be buying a copy soon!!

    Blessings,
    Emily

  • Dude, you have the strangest experiences… And, it’s so nice to see that you’re “one of those dads”–Elias is a blessed kid. 🙂 Glad things are going well!

  • Dani says:

HAHA! This blog cracked me up! I just love these lil videos! Elias is just so precious and I am so happy for ya’ll! I know it will be nice to finally go home. I am going to keep praying for ya’ll. Oh and umm..you might want to tell the hospital of the patient. lol
