Friendly reminder…please accept this as kindly as it is intended to be.
“You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.” Exodus 20:7
It may seem trivial in a silly video such as this, but where do we draw the line? We serve a Holy God. A God who does not compromise His character for our entertainment. Scripture tells us that He wants us to enjoy a full and wonderful life(John 10:10, John 15:11), but not at the expense of degrading His name. May we be Christians who love and adore His name for what He has done for us on the cross, not by using His name this way in some silly video.
If your comment was meant in Christian love, then why post anonymously? “Christian love” shouldn’t have to be left nameless… I disagree with the logic of your sentiment, but appreciate you expressing your point of view… And I suspect that God’s name gets taken in vain in churches far more than any of us are willing to admit… and perhaps, too, in the comment that you left here….
I didn’t really find humor in this.It seemed kind of disrespectful to bring the second coming of Christ down to the level of this super hero movie is just kind of tacky. Please don’t feel like I am attacking you. That is certainly not my intention.Just throwing in my two cents.Whatever that’s worth.I do LOVE your blog.Your family is precious and Mr.Smoothie King man was way out of line.Tasha
HA! That was awesome.
that was spectacular, to the point of being the stuff of legends.
I would think Jesus would already know all about Dark Knight… hmmm…
We just babysat today so that hubby’s sister and her husband could go see it!
