Gigi Pasley is only 15 years old and already she’s beat cancer FOUR times. FOUR times! Furthermore, Gigi is already an accomplished songwriter, too! In fact, her song “What is Normal” (recorded by Amy Grant) is just one of the songs included on “Everybody Has a Story,” an album of songs (all written by children!) and recorded by people like Amy, Vince Gill, Allison Krauss, Faith Hill, and many others. All of the proceeds of this record (released May 14) will go to the music therapy program at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. I’ve had a chance to listen to several of the songs and also hear some of the stories of the kids who wrote the songs. And it’s amazing. And so so inspiring.
