Meet Chavidu, a 6-year-old boy who despirately needs to be sponsored…

Over the course of the next few days, I’ll be introducing you to 19 children from Sri Lanka. These kids have a few things in common. Each of them are a part of the same World Vision ADP that I visited in August and each of them are desperately in need of being sponsored.
World Vision asked me to help these kids get sponsored. Of course, I agreed for several reasons. As you know, I believe in the word of World Vision. And also because I’ve seen the conditions that these kids live in. I’ve walked through their villages. I’ve heard their stories. And my wife and I sponsored a child from the same region.

I’ve been issued the names and information for 19 children, 19 individual faces, 19 souls hoping to be sponsored…

My hope is to get one child sponsored every day until all 19 have been sponsored.

Meet Chavidu. Chavidu is 6 years old. He was born on Apr 14, 2006. Chavidu’s family is very poor. He loves swinging and playing with friends, and his favorite subject in school is learning his native language.

Your sponsorship commitment will help provide Chavidu and his community with improved health care and hygiene. Educational opportunities give children the chance for a better future. In addition, your support provides Chavidu’s parents with income generating programs to help enhance their ability to provide for their families.
