I’m excited about this giveaway because, for a couple of years, I have had the privilege of playing a small role in writing/translating this retelling of scripture. The Voice Bible is the brainchild of my friend Pastor Chris Seay and the Ecclesia Bible Society, and the goal of this particular translation is to enhance the “tone” and story within scripture. This isn’t a paraphrasing. It’s a translation. Every word of Psalm (as well as each available book of the Voice Bible) is put through a vigorous editing process and is approved/studied by biblical scholars.
Four key words describe the vision of this project:
- Holistic: Considers heart, soul, and mind
- Beautiful: Achieves literary and artistic excellence
- Sensitive: Respects cultural shifts and the need for accuracy
- Balanced: Includes theologically diverse writers and scholars

She even served as the Volunteer Director of Children’s Church from last Oct to May. So she knows the history of Dave, Chris, and Kyle Lake starting ubc. Did I miss this one too? I have only read a few Psalms (as I haven’t been reading the word that long) and have always been intrigued by the crys of help from David through these writings. Very much like a lot of Christians crys to God. Some are very confusing and hard for me to decyfer, this would be a great learning tool. Thanks for your great giveaways!
