i like joy’s stuff, i really, really do. her voice is so uncommon sounding and that’s precisely what makes it great (it does sound sometimes like she’s trying to hard but it’s still original and very pretty) but i’m gonna be brutally honest: i know her and jpw are great friends, and that they make good music together, but this video (much like “end of love”) was just a little too, i don’t know, intimate. tell me im reading too much into it and being stupid, i don’t care, but i almost felt uncomfortable watching the end of this video when their faces are like 2 inches part. that’s just drawing the line, a little, don’t you think? i think there were SOOO many other ways this video could have been made- so many more directions it could have taken. i don’t know about him, but i know she’s a married woman, and i wonder what her husband nate (honestly) thinks about this.
i know im bound to get hate comments, but it’s just how i feel. 🙂

ps-im not a “anonymous” just to be starting something, i promise. i don’t have an account and i wasn’t making one just to leave a comment, thats just silly. 🙂
I had sort of forgotten about Joy Williams since her pop debut earlier this decade. Had no idea her sound had evolved into something so elegant and rich. Thanks for posting this and reintroducing me, iTunes here I come.
I am liking this a lot. Their voices really compliment each other, kind of like the opposite of their name, civil war.
I am going to go and check them out, thanks for the music hook up.
Got anything else?
Mmm…this is fabulous.
WOW! if butta were a sound, this would be it.
I freakin’ LOVE Joy Williams’ stuff.
I’ve listened to this song about 15 times since last night.
Kind of reminds me of The Swell Season.
This makes your spine all tingly.
there is a free mp3 album download from them on their myspace!!! NICE!
Very good.
Wait. Is is really the Joy Williams I hear on K-Love? I like her solo work too, but this is amazing.
Hey Lori,
Yes. That’s the same Joy Williams. 🙂
Amazing music, huh?
Yeah, I love it.
Too good. This must be a trick.
