Funny…but interesting that he assumes all youth ministers are male, eh? “Got my goatee…” “Have you ever noticed that youth ministers have beautiful wives?”
I mean, I was a youth minister and my husband is pretty hot but I don’t think he’d appreciate being called a beautiful wife. Nor would he want me to grow a goatee. 😉
@c_w_s I see your point. But don’t you think he’s probably just poking fun at the youth pastor stereotype in evangelical culture? That’s the flaw in satire built around stereotypes: it’s funny but never perfect.
The Irish Catholic version of this is Graham Norton’s portrayal of a youth pastor in the Channel 4’s hit show, “Father Ted.” He shows up about midway thru the episode.
DON’T watch this around kids. They go very, very R-rated in Ireland. There’s Irish cuss words, and also a very non-titillating shot of a naked guy from behind. But then, there’s Graham Norton. Guaranteed at least a chuckle.
I think I have a new and future theme song. Not that I want to be everything described in this video, but mainly because it’s awesome! Thanks for sharing this!
Have to agree that I LOL @ the family guy mention. AND the sidehug. We just had a hug seminar with some of the teens after service last month. And the Chris Tomlin and United mention was funny too. Thanks for sharing!
right on. I mean – to the T.
HI-larious. I’ve seen Benjamin perform at SL camp. He’s so funny.

I actually thought this was really funny (wasn’t planning on it) because I’ve been a youth pastor for years and he hit pretty much on the head.
The Family Guy line cracked me up. That and the awkward side hug.

The awkward side hug! I know it well.
Awesome! From now on, I think I should play this song every time I walk on the stage to preach.
love it. thanks for sharing.
