1) Buying a new tooth brush. I know, dumb, huh? But it’s true. I love how a brand new tooth brush feels against my teeth. I love how space-aged toothbrushes look these days. And I love that they still come with instructions! Quite honestly, I sort of like shopping for toiletries in general. Which means I LOVE Wal-Greens. Love it.
2) Pudding snacks. Mmm. So good. So fat free. So easy to open, eat, and digest.
3) Zantac. The stuff works. That little man in the commercial is so right–just one reddish pill relieves and prevents acid indigestion!
4) Flip-flops! I hate wearing shoes and socks. Despite my feet being pretty ugly, I don’t care if anybody sees them, judges them, or even attempts to pass legislation against them. I don’t care. That’s why I love flip-flops, because I can be comfortable without the consequences. I wear them pretty much nine months out of the year. I LOVE them that much. Sure, my feet get cold, but they don’t feel constrained.
5) Bees. Yes, I love bees. For obvious reasons–the honey, pollinating, etc. But my father had three hives of bees when I was a kid, and for that reason, I learned a lot about them. Sometimes I would sit sixty or seventy feet away from the hives and watch the bees work. Well, I watched the female bees work. The boy bees were lazy and only good for impregnating the QUEEN bee.
And when food was low, they were the first to go… poor guys.
Yeah, I know this is a dumb post, but I was in a hurry this morning!
But while we’re talking about it, what are some “simple things” that you love?
mpt
Viagra is for the treatment of inability to get or keep an erection and similar states when erection is of low quality. When you buy remedies like cialis from canada you should know about cialis online canada. It may have a lot of brands, but only one ATC Code. Erectile disfunction, defined as the persistent impossibility to maintain a satisfactory hard-on, affects an estimated 15 to 30 millions men in the America alone. Sexual soundness is an substantial part of a man’s life, no question his age etc.
paper- scrapbooking paper, office paper, little notebooks, oversized notebooks, journals, etc. My guilty pleasure – for sure. This you know.
I’m with you on the flip-flops, except that I wear them about 11 1/2 months of the year.
dude, I’m with you on the flip-flops. I wear them all year, all the time. They have to be Crocs though, the most comfortable flop footwear in the universe.
other simple things I love are office supply stores. I could wander around staples or office max in a happy daze for hours. also paper of any kind… really, I’m not copying all your answers! I have a stack inches high of that addicting scrapbook apper…
the last (and most ridiculous) one is my love for spreadsheets and budgets. when I need a break from work or stress, I giddily haul out the checkbook or excel for some maintenance or balancing. true story.
Pop-Tarts. Moleskines. Swim trunks. My bald head when the windows are open or the top is down.
Love the flops too. I even wear them to work sometimes, except on Sunday — that’s against the rules. And I doubt that your feet are that ugly….unless you bite your toenails. UGH!
Bookstores. A cup of hot (but not too hot) tea. My son’s belly laugh. The first chilly day of fall which is usually around January here in Miami. Smiles. A good stretch after sitting for a long time. Dark chocolate. Listening to birds warbling. Backrubs. Balancing the checkbook in under five minutes. Target. Watching elderly couples walk hand in hand and kiss like teenagers. Long baths. A spritz of my favorite cologne which is appropriately called “Happy.” A sleeping baby snuggled into my shoulder. (You’ll know soon enough…and it will have been worth the long wait!!) I could go on and on, but there is also the simple pleasure of silence to consider.
warm chocolate chip cookies, a completed project, thunderstorms, a bowl of cereal

these lists may be simple, but their fun to read…and make:
sunbathing when you can jump immediately in the pool/ocean/lake and cool off, bookstores with my favorite sections well stocked, journals, junior mints that have been in the refrigerator, pistachios,backrubs/massages, flip flops that don’t hurt that spot between your big and not so big toe, reading my favorite blogs, when people read my blog and leave fun comments, journaling, downloading songs from itunes that I love, making simple lists like this one to remind oneself of simple pleasures.
Excited to read your new book!
